Birth preparation
PRIVATE
I'd be happy to visit you at home to discuss birth, the postpartum period, and breastfeeding. The private birth preparation course is tailored to your individual needs. Duration: approximately 2-3 hours. Cost: CHF 200-250 (insurance covers at least CHF 150).
IN THE GROUP
At Nidwalden Hospital, I offer birth preparation courses for a maximum of eight couples, alternating with colleagues. Over five evenings, you'll learn a lot about pregnancy, birth, and the first postpartum period. Three evenings are designed as couples' evenings. On one evening, parallel to the women's evening, there will be an open discussion group for men with a father who has experience with childbirth.
When: every Monday evening from 7.15 pm to approximately 9 pm
Cost: 350 CHF per couple (insurance covers at least 150 CHF)

I'm happy to accompany you during the initial period at home. As a midwife, I monitor and care for mother and child after the birth, whether after a few days in the hospital, at a birthing center, or after an outpatient birth.
The health insurance company covers the full costs of postpartum care. The number of visits is highly individualized and tailored to individual needs.
Midwifery Acupuncture
Acupuncture according to traditional Chinese medicine is a wonderful complement to natural support during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
Using fine acupuncture needles, specific points in the body are stimulated to harmonize the flow of energy and promote well-being. As preparation for childbirth, for example, acupuncture can strengthen important processes in the body and thus positively influence the birth process.
Insurance coverage should be clarified individually, as midwifery acupuncture is generally not recognized by EMR.
About me
I grew up in a very rural area in the canton of Zurich. At 15, I fell in love with the canton of Uri during a rural service assignment and have returned time and time again, then stayed. Seedorf has been my home since 2009. I approach life with a lot of energy and passion and enjoy being a mother and midwife to the fullest. For as long as I can remember, being a midwife has been my absolute dream job. I have enjoyed working in the maternity ward at Nidwalden Hospital for many years.
I stumbled into the birth preparation classes quite by chance. Now, one of my special skills as a midwife is empowering couples with knowledge about birth.
In 2023/2024, I completed the TCM Acupuncture for Midwives course. I'm excited to now be able to use acupuncture as a complement to my midwifery work.
